How to Change Presenter Settings for TUP592 & TUP992
Introduction
This application note explains how to set up the presenter in Windows using the Star Utility driver.
Supported Printers: TUP592, TUP992

Presenter Options
Mode: Loop-Hold; Paper Retract: Do not Retract
This setting causes the presenter to loop and eject the paper after printing. Notice that the Paper Hold Time option is disabled, this option will not allow a set up time to eject the paper
The print job will only leave the queue if you remove the paper from the presenter. Only then will the next job print.
NOTE: Make sure your printer is working from the driver before you continue with the set up.
Loop: The presenter will print the receipt/ticket internally in a loop before ejecting it or “presenting” it to the user.
Present: The paper will be presented but will remain in the driver’s queue until the user retrieves it. Only then, then will the next
The print job will not leave the queue until you remove the paper manually, and only then will the next job in queue print.
Mode: Loop-Hold; Paper Retract: Retract
This setting causes the presenter to print internally in a loop, present the print job and retract it after a set period of time (default is 1 second)
In this case the Paper Hold Time is available. This option will hold the paper for the number of seconds set in the driver before retracting it.
Loop: The presenter will print the receipt/ticket internally in a loop before ejecting it or “presenting” it to the user.
Present: The paper will be presented and held for the number of seconds set in the driver settings
Retract: Retract the paper under the presenter.
Mode: Loop-Hold; Paper Retract: Eject
This setting causes the paper to loop and eject the paper. In this case the Paper Hold time is available. This set-up will hold the paper for the number of seconds set in the driver, before ejecting the paper.

Eject: The paper will be presented and ejected. The paper will be held for the number of seconds set in the driver settings before being ejected.
Mode: No Loop-Hold; Paper Retract: Eject
This setting causes the paper to be printed, presented and ejected without printing in loop. In this case the Paper Hold time is available. This setting will present and hold the paper the number of seconds set in the driver, before ejecting the paper.
Eject: The paper will be presented and ejected. The paper will be held for the number of seconds set in the driver settings before being ejected.
Mode: No Loop-Hold; Paper Retract: Do not Retract
This setting prevents the presenter from printing in loop and from retracting the paper. In this case, the Paper Hold time is unavailable, and the presenter will present and hold the paper indefinitely until it is removed. Other incoming print jobs will remain in queue until the presented receipts/tickets are removed.
Eject: The paper will be presented and ejected. No paper hold time.
Mode: No Loop-Hold; Paper Retract: Retract
This setting means the paper won’t loop but will retract the paper. In this case the Paper Hold time, is available
Eject: The paper will be presented and ejected. The paper will be held for the number of seconds set in the driver settings before being ejected.
Retract: Retract the paper under the presenter.
Mode: No Loop- No Hold; Paper Retract: Eject
This setting means the paper won’t loop or retract; it will only eject the paper. In this case the Paper Hold time, the Do not retract and retract options are unavailable as well
Eject: The paper will be presented and ejected. No paper hold time.
