Calibration
Georgia’s Weights & Measures department follows the NIST Handbook 44 (2018 Edition).
For calibration, it is suggested that a certified Service Company be contacted to properly calibrate the scale.
Registration
You will need to contact the Office of Weights & Measures to begin the process.
Maintenance
It is recommended to have your mG-Scale recalibrated each year by a state certified Service Company.
The scale will be inspected once a year by the Weights & Measures office.
Any scales that fail inspection are subject to fine.
