Registration
To begin the process a Scale Application must be completed.
These licenses are only valid for one year and expire on December 31st each year.
Renewals can be completed either with the Scale Application or online HERE.
Calibration
For proper calibration, it is necessary to use a certified Service Company/Weighmaster.
A complete list can be found HERE.
After proper calibration, the Service Agent will complete a Placed-In-Service Form and deliver it to the Department of Weights & Measures.
Maintenance
Each year an Inspector will visit your business and test any scale Placed-In-Service.
It is recommended to have the scale recalibrated each year by a certified Service Company.
Scales that fail inspection are subject to fine.
