Star Micronics’s SWAP-A-STAR® Service Agreement allows customers to extend the manufacturer’s limited warranty beyond its standard benefits at a low cost per printer. SWAP-A-STAR enables you to have a replacement solution sent next business day after service is approved.
*SWAP-A-STAR claims require approval from a Star technical support agent. Troubleshooting may be required.
You can purchase Swap-A-Star® service agreements from resellers that offer Star Micronics products. The service agreement must be purchased within 30 days of product purchase.
The registered printer serial number and registered warranty number are all you need when calling Star Micronics’s Technical Support Team to apply this warranty. A Technical Support Specialist will attempt to troubleshoot the printer during the call and will approve printer swapping if the issue cannot be immediately resolved.
Understanding the critical role that POS printers play in a business, a replacement printer will be shipped within 24 business hours of approval. Star knows anything can happen in a printer’s environment.
The replacement printer will be shipped with a pre-paid air bill for the impaired printer. Simply pack the impaired printer in the pre-paid shipping box and send it back to Star Micronics after receiving the replacement, which is yours to keep.
