Star Micronics’ SWAP-A-STAR® Service Agreement allows customers to extend the manufacturer’s limited warranty beyond its standard benefits at a low cost per printer. SWAP-A-STAR® enables you to have a replacement printer sent next business day after service is approved.

You can purchase SWAP-A-STAR® service agreements from resellers that offer Star Micronics products. The service agreement must be purchased within 30 days of product purchase.
The registered printer serial number is all you need when calling Star Micronics technical support specialists to apply this warranty. The Star Micronics technical support specialist will attempt to troubleshoot the printer during the call and will approve printer swapping if the issue cannot be immediately resolved.
Understanding the important role that POS printers play in a business, a replacement printer will be shipped within 24 business hours of approval as Star knows anything can happen in a printer’s environment – just call with your registered warranty number to request a replacement printer and we will start the process immediately.
The replacement printer will be shipped with a pre-paid air bill for the impaired printer. Just simply pack the impaired printer in the pre-paid shipping box and send it back to Star Micronics after receiving the replacement which is yours to keep.
