How to Configure Margins and Paper Size on macOS

Introduction

This application note provides instructions for adjusting driver settings to address issues on macOS such as long receipts with blank space, margin or formatting problems and incorrect font sizes.

Important! Margins, character fonts and page formatting are primarily defined by the POS software, especially when printing from iOS and Android devices. If your POS is web-based (accessed through a web browser) use the application note below.
How to Configure Margins and Paper Size on a Web Browser

Before you begin

Important! Ensure that the printer is installed, configured and operational.
Please use the Help Center FAQ search if you have not yet setup your printer.

Note: The default Paper Size for most printers is 3” with a few exceptions such as the mC-Print2 which is 2”. If you are selecting a smaller size, ensure you have installed the paper guide.

Enable CUPS Web Interface

Note: The CUPS Driver Web Interface must be enabled on the Mac device to adjust margins and paper size. If it has already been enabled, this step can be skipped.

1. Open a web browser and type localhost:631 in the address bar. If accessing this page for the first time, the Web Interface will be disabled.

Note: If prompted, enter your Mac Username and Password to Log In.
